Women's Self Defense: How to Fight Back if Kidnapped

If you are interested in women's self defense, you probably know some tactics to protect your self from personal attacks. But what if you are kidnapped and put into a car? Here are some tips that will help survive from that situation. Knowing these women's self defense moves can save your life. What if you were walking down the street or in your front yard and someone grabs you and throws you in a car. You will probably be bound or duct tapped and sometimes you may just be threatened with a gun or knife. What are you going to do to get out of that situation?

Remember in a moving car everyone is vulnerable and the kidnapper really can't keep his entire attention on your and the road at the same time. There may be opportunities of escape according to how securely you are restrained. You may be able to kick or use your head to gain attention from a passerby. Even head butting the horn can allow some attention to be focused toward you. If you hands are free you can pull the steering wheel causing an accident or at least drawing attention to yourself. If your feet are free, try to step on the accelerator or the break to make the car move erratically. This will hopefully cause enough worry from others on the road they will call the police.

If you do cause an accident, let it be on your turns. Make sure your speed is slow enough not to harm yourself or others. If you are locked in a trunk, kick the tail lights out or at least unplug them so the people behind will not see the turning signal. If you can knock out the lights, stick a finger or stick out the hole and move around so that the driver behind can see. If they see a finger wiggling from a trunk, rest assured someone will cell phone the police.

Women's self defense instructors advocate that you defend yourself and run, but if your are kidnapped you probably will have to deal with a life threatening situation immediately. If you feel comfortable and safe in doing it, attack the driver right out. Stick your fingernails in his eyes. Bite him in the arm or face. Stick your fingers into his nose and try to rip the nostril. You haven't been kidnapped to go to a party. The attacker probably has very dubious plans for you. Attack him like you were fighting for your life. Once you have a chance and the car is stopped, run. If he is trying to get out of the car, stall him by slamming the door on him or picking up an object and smashing his hands, feet or head. At the same time scream your head off. Give a battle cry that will scare the wits out of the guy.

Draw as much attention to your self as possible. This sounds like a bad action movie but this guy just kidnapped you. Take him out and get away. Run toward the traffic waving your arms and screaming. People may not stop but they will call the police. If you are near a store or gas station, run to it. If there are abandoned buildings or closed stores, start breaking windows to set off alarms.
